The United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) is seeking information on contractors that possess the expertise and capabilities to overhaul (rebuild) and provide a Condition Code A (Like New) Variable Speed Fan Drive (VSFD) {NSN: 2930-01-643-3929, Part No. 12474781-2 } to the U.S. Government. The Government will supply condition Code F unserviceable assets as cores for this program. The condition code "F" VSFD units that will be supplied were removed from fielded vehicles by the users (Soldiers) during their troubleshooting of a cooling system failure. We do not know or have access to any information as to why these units were determined to be non-functioning and replaced.
