PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Naval Special Warfare Command Tire Alignment Rack 1. BACKGROUND1.1 The Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) currently does not have the capability to maintain wheel alignments on vehicles and primary vehicles. In order to ensure proper alignment and therefore maximize tire lifecycles, NAVSCIATTS pays for alignment services off-site by a vendor. An alignment system in the facilities garage would save time and money by allowing NAVSCIATTS personnel to perform this preventative maintenance on-site.2. OBJECTIVE2.1. NAVSCIATTS requires an alignment system to facilitate on-site maintenance of command vehicles and prime movers.3. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT3.1. Description and Capabilities: NAVSCIATTS requires an alignment rack system that will bolt-on to existing vehicle lifting equipment. Besides being the more affordable option, expanding the maintenance bay for the installment of another lift system is not an option. Existing vehicle lifting equipment that will be utilized for this bolt-on system will consists of a Rotary model number SM301-200 which has a 30000 lbs capacity.3.2. Product Name: Snap-On Industrial Tire Alignment Rack (or equivalent)3.3. Specifications/Salient Characteristics: The alignment system shall provide flexibility in aligning tires for multiple sizes of vehicles, ranging from passenger vehicles such as vans and sedans, to the larger primary mover trucks which tow our boats.
