This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services, Ames, Iowa, 50010. An Invitation for Bid [IFB] solicitation will be issued on or about August 14, 2017 for a construction project titled "Visitor Entrance Landscaping Project" at USDA Ames, Iowa. The project will be performed at the USDA Campus located in Ames, Iowa. The effort is 100% set aside for Small Business. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 238990, with a Small Business Size Standard of $15 million. In accordance with FAR 36.204, construction range is $25,000 to $100,000. The government contemplates the award of a firm fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, supplies, transportation, personnel, supervision and management necessary to perform the required work and complete the project. The work shall include but is not limited to: This project is for the installation of landscaping materials along identified sidewalks in order to provide for the clearing of winter snow and ice along with providing a barrier for salt and ice melt to dissipate without harming the adjacent lawn areas. The solicitation, INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB), Solicitation # AG-6197-S-17-0016, This IFB will be posted on the Government Wide Point of Entry (GPE) accessed via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation and/or amendments will be distributed. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this avenue (FEDBIZOPPS) for release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments.
