This Notice of Intent is not a request for quote and a solicitation will not be issued; however, all responses received prior to the closing date of this notice will be considered by the Government. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District (USACE) intends to award a sole source modification to CLEA SC to replace the roof on building 113 at Camp Darby, Italy. CLEA SC is currently under contract converting building 113 from a clinic to a multipurpose facility that will consist of administrative offices and a medical support wing. Since CLEA is currently performing renovation to building 113, which included some roof repair. It is understood that it is in the interest of the Government to have the current contractor that is already mobilized onsite to perform this work due to no mobilization costs and the safety risk of having two contractors operating on one site. In accordance with, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and DFARS 206.302-1: only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Submission of any information in response to this notice is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency, no later than the closing date and time of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Responses must be in writing, by e-mail to the Contract Specialist at Mark.A.Hiscox@usace.army.mil. The e-mail shall contain the following subject line: Response to Notice of Intent for Building 113 at Camp Darby. Please submit all information no later than September 14, 2017, 10:00 am Eastern Time. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR A FORMAL PROPOSAL OR A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME
